Fear before first contact is common. It does not mean you do not need help or that you have failed.
Many people fear not being taken seriously, freezing on the phone, saying the wrong thing, or being pushed into something they do not want. This fear is understandable.
You can write an email, use a contact form, ask a trusted person to call with you, or read a sentence from your phone. The first step may be imperfect and short.
If you have postponed help for weeks or months, recognizing typical thoughts can help: Maybe it will get better on its own, others need help more, I will do it next week. These thoughts are common, but they do not have to hold you.
erstmalreden.de offers orientation and wording support. It does not replace counseling, therapy, diagnosis, or emergency help.
