After flight, uncertainty, violence, loss, or long procedures, mental strain can be very strong. Language and fear of authorities should not make help impossible.
Poor sleep, panic, emptiness, constant tension, withdrawal, or memories can appear after flight and violence. You do not have to explain everything before seeking support.
Say early which language you need. Ask about interpreting, multilingual counseling, social counseling, migration counseling, or a psychosocial center. Children should not have to translate sensitive conversations.
Possible paths are a family doctor, counseling center, social counseling, BAfF/psychosocial centers, TelefonSeelsorge, or 112 in acute danger. If you fear authorities, an independent counseling center may be easier at first.
This page offers orientation and words for first contact. If you need counseling, therapy, or emergency help, real contact points matter.
